US power company AES Corp has tied up a $120 million loan from IDB Invest to offer discounts on electricity bills from four subsidiaries in El Salvador, the lender's local legal adviser, BLP Legal, said in an email. The Salvadoran government passed a measure in March to allow consumers to delay payments on electricity bills during the COVID-19 pandemic.
