JSL shares surge on latest acquisition

Shares in Brazilian logistics company JSL jumped on Monday after the company announced it had agreed to buy local trucking company Transmoreno for BRL310 million ($57.4 million). JSL's shares gained 3.9% to close at BRL30.60 on the B3 stock exchange in São Paulo on Monday. The company had announced the Transmoreno deal earlier in the day, saying it would pay BRL100 million in cash at closing and pay the rest over the next five years.
