AES sells bonds to cover Panama debt

AES Panama Generation Holdings, a division of the US power company AES Corp, sold $1.38 billion worth of 10-year bonds on Monday in a transaction that was close to four times oversubscribed, according to sources involved in the deal.  The company sold the new 4.376% 2030 bonds close to par to yield 4.375%, or 380.4 basis points over US Treasury notes, the sources said.
