Canadian asset management firm Brookfield has received an extra COP118 billion ($32.3 million) from the sale of shares in Empresa de Energía de Boyacá (EBSA) to Canada's Northland Power, according to a securities filing.
Brookfield agreed to sell EBSA to Northland in September 2019 for COP2.67 trillion, including debt. In January, Brookfield announced through its Colombian infrastructure fund that it had formalized the sale for COP2.4 trillion.
