Brazil's InterCement said it sold BRL4.7 billion ($964 million) worth of debentures in the local market as part of its restructuring efforts.
"This represents an additional and important step of the group's comprehensive liability management plan, together with the October 2017 IPO of Loma Negra, our subsidiary in Argentina, and the January 2018 sale of assets in Portugal and Cape Verde," InterCement said in a statement.
InterCement does not have to make interest payments on the seven-year notes
