Argentina’s YPF said it has hired Alejandro Lew as its CFO, bringing in an outsider as the state-backed energy company faces large debt repayments over the next two years.
The board of directors approved the designation last Thursday, the company said in a securities filing on Friday.
Lew replaces Luis Sas, who will stay with the company as finance vice president.
An economist, Lew brings nearly eight years of experience in the energy sector and a dozen in the finance sector to the job. Previous
