Brazilian retailer Via Varejo said it agreed to sell BRL4.46 billion ($851 million) worth of shares on Monday as it priced a follow-on offering at BRL15.00 per share, below the closing price of BRL15.62.
Via Varejo sold 297 million shares, including the full over-allotment option for 35% of the initial offer, and increased its total share capital to BRL5.13 billion, it said in a securities filing.
