Brazil's national development bank BNDES has approved a BRL1.24 billion ($236 million) loan for the local subsidiary of French electric utility Engie to build wind power projects, according to a securities filing on Wednesday.
Engie did not reveal the tenor or the pricing information for the loan, but it said it will use the proceeds for the second phase of the Campo Largo wind complex in Bahia and to build a power transmission line.
