Brazilian power generation company Eneva said on Monday that it sold BRL410 million ($79.3 million) worth of short-term notes in the local market to preserve cash and "fund business opportunities that might arise."
Eneva said it issued the one-year debentures at the DI interbank lending rate plus 2.5% and added that it secured $1.8 billion in financing to be disbursed through next year, building on the BRL1.8 billion in cash it had at the end of 2019, according to a securities filing.
