Eneva inists on second meeting with AES Tietê

Brazilian power generation company Eneva has requested a second meeting with AES Tietê on March 30 to continue discussing terms of its takeover offer, following a two-hour presentation on March 19. Earlier this month, Eneva offered to buy AES Tietê for BRL6.6 billion ($1.29 billion) with BRL2.75 billion in cash and the rest in shares. It then spent BRL33.9 million to buy 0.5% of AES Tietê and attend shareholder meetings ahead of a potential takeover. The two sides met for two hours on March 19,
