South American development bank CAF said on Friday that it lent the equivalent of $50 million in local currency to the Mexican branch of Spanish BBVA to provide loans to small businesses and fund microfinance loans.
CAF has now provided a total of $70 million in local-currency financing to BBVA in Mexico, it said in a press release.
