Brazilian power generation company Eneva has requested a meeting with AES Tietê on March 16 or March 17 to start discussing terms of its takeover offer, according to a securities filing on Friday.
Earlier this month, Eneva offered to buy AES Tietê for BRL6.6 billion ($1.37 billion) with BRL2.75 billion in cash and the rest in shares. It then spent BRL33.9 million to buy 0.5% of AES Tietê and attend shareholder meetings ahead of a potential takeover.
