Brazil's Investment Partnership Program, or PPI, recommended that the federal government exclude a subsidiary of the state-owned power company Eletrobras from its privatization program, according to an announcement in the official gazette on Wednesday.
Eletrobras Participações (Eletropar) was originally included in the program in 1996. It is controlled by the state-owned company and owns shares in CTEEP, EMAE, EDP Brasil, Light and Eletronet.
