TIM Brasil, a subsidiary of the Italian telecommunications company TIM, is interested in buying the mobile phone business of the Brazilian carrier Oi, CEO Pietro Labriola said on Wednesday.
During a conference call to discuss the company's fourth quarter results from last year, an analyst asked Labriola if TIM Brasil if Oi Móvel was an acquisition target. "So the answer is yes," Labriola said in response.
"We clearly stated our interest in market consolidation," Labriola said earlier in the call
