Banxico gives few hints for future rate cuts

Mexico's central bank, known as Banxico, said on Thursday that it will base future rate cuts on "incoming data," staying away from clear signals that it could decrease the policy rate in the coming months. The bank's monetary policy committee gave the guidance after it unanimously decided the rate by 25 basis points to 7%, taking into account the outlook for inflation, the larger amount of economic slack and "the recent behavior of external and domestic yield curves," Banxico said in a statement
