Brazilian private education company Cogna Educação said it raised $2.56 billion ($587 million) from a follow-on equity offering, pricing 232 million new shares at BRL11.00 each.
The Belo Horizonte-based company put an initial 172 million shares in the offering, but it increased the size of the deal by 35%, or 60.2 million shares, to meet demand, according to a securities filing.
