The Mexican branch of Spanish bank BBVA sold MXN15 billion ($804 million) worth of peso-denominated notes in the local market on Wednesday, according to a securities filing.
Led by its own brokerage firm, BBVA divided the deal into three series of notes, including one in US dollars. In pesos, the bank priced MXN7.12 billion in three-year notes at five basis points over the 28-day TIIE interbank lending rate and MXN6 billion in five-year notes at 15 basis points over the TIIE.
