EIB backs Cofide loans in Peru

The European Investment Bank (EIB) said it has lent $100 million to Peruvian development bank Cofide to fund credit for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and energy projects. Cofide will use roughly $30 million for SME loans through local commercial banks, "targeting companies impacted by current economic challenges," the EIB said in a press release on Friday.
