US oil company ExxonMobil said it has named Juan Lessmann as the new CEO of its business in Brazil as it prepares to resume drilling in the South American nation after almost 10 years.
Lessmann replaces Carla Lacerda, who retires after 35 years with the company. Lacerda became CEO of ExxonMobil in Brazil in 2018.
Lessmann has worked at ExxonMobil for more than 22 years. Most recently, he was a project manager for the Bacalhau offshore oil field in the Santos Basin. Norway's state-owned energy co
