French oil company Total said Thursday that it had acquired 16.6% of the Energía Costa Azul (ECA) liquefied natural gas export terminal in Mexico from IEnova and Sempra LNG for an undisclosed amount.
IEnova, the Mexican subsidiary of San Diego-based Sempra Energy, now owns 41.7% of ECA Liquefaction, the company developing the project, while Sempra LNG has the other 41.7%, Total and IEnova said in separate press releases.
