Brazilian renewable energy company Omega Geração said Tuesday that it closed the acquisition of 50% stakes in two wind farms owned by French energy company EDF for BRL680 million ($132 million). Omega said it paid BRL361 million in cash and assumed BRL320 million in debt for half of the 66MW Ventos da Bahia 1 and 116MW Ventos da Bahia 2 wind farms, according to a securities filing.
