Brazilian power company AES Tietê plans to expand its renewable energy portfolio by acquiring wind projects backed with long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), said CEO Italo Freitas on Friday.
"We are focusing on M&A and greenfield opportunities and we try to look for opportunities where we have expertise in the physical asset management and where we can have a good turnaround in the asset," he said during a quarterly earnings call with analysts.
