Banco Macro, Argentina's sixth-biggest bank in terms of deposits, said Tuesday that its vice chairman, Delfín Carballo, will take over as chairman after his predecessor, Jorge Brito, died in a helicopter crash.
The board of directors will name a new vice chairman in its next meeting, the bank said in a securities filing.
Brito and Carballo co-founded Macro Compañía Financiera in 1978, what would go on to become Banco Macro.
