Norte Brasil Transmissora de Energia (NBTE), a subsidiary of the transmission line concessionaire Evoltz, said it plans to issue BRL1 billion ($185 million) in debentures in the local market to pay down debt.
Evoltz, which is owned by the US private equity firm TPG Capital, took over NBTE in late July this year. NBTE operates a 2,411km power line between the cities of Porto Velho, capital of the northwestern state of Rondônia, and Araraquara in São Paulo. The 30-year concession contract expires
