Brazilian water treatment company Aegea has won a public private partnership (PPP) contract to provide sewage services in Mato Grosso do Sul and will spend BRL3.8 billion ($676 million) over the 30 year contract term. Aegea, represented by brokerage Ativa, beat three other consortiums with an offer 38.46% below the maximum bid price to treat a cubic meter of sewage in 68 municipalities at an auction on Friday.
