Brazilian water treatment company Aegea has won a public private partnership (PPP) contract to provide sewage services in Espírito Santo and will invest BRL580 million ($103 million) to expand the network over the 30 year contract term.
Aegea, represented by brokerage Ativa, beat six other consortiums with an offer 38.12% below the maximum bid price to treat a cubic meter of sewage in two municipalities - Cariacica and Viana - in state capital Vitória at an auction on Tuesday.
