Argentina seeks to shore up dollar supplies

Argentine President Alberto Fernández unveiled on Wednesday a series of plans to rebuild foreign currency reserves as a key for achieving debt sustainability, while the economy minister said expanding the local capital markets will be another focus for future financing. The government is facing a "problem" because of a steady decline in foreign currencies, Fernández said in a 40-minute speech at the annual business conference of the Instituto para el Desarrollo Empresarial de la Argentina (IDEA)
