Uruguay is pressing ahead with fiscal reforms in the medium term as it combats the COVID-19 pandemic, looking to strike a "structural balance" and also put limits on spending and debt financing, Finance Minister Azucena Arbeleche said on Monday.
"We are creating a new fiscal institutionality," Arbeleche said during an online talk for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). "Now, our fiscal objective will be in terms of a 'structural balance,'" she said, referring to Uruguay
