Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (Bladex) said on Tuesday that it named Jorge Salas as its new CEO, effective March 9.
Salas will replace Gabriel Tolchinsky, who stepped in as CEO after Rubens Amaral resigned in April last year. Salas led the US operations of the Venezuelan bank Banesco for five years. Before that, he was the general manager for Banesco in Panama.
Mario Oliva will replace Salas at Banesco at the end of the month, the Venezuelan bank's US business said in a statement.
Jorge Salas leaves Banesco's US operations to take over the Panama-based trade finance bank in March
