Brazilian power generation company Eneva said it has secured a loan for BRL1 billion ($239 million) from the state-owned regional lender Banco da Amazônia (BASA) to finance the Azulão-Jaguatirica project.
Eneva subsidiary Azulão Geração de Energia took out the 16-year loan to build and operate the project, which involves construction of the 117 MW Jaguatirica combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant and a pipeline to the Azulão natural gas field in the Amazonas Basin.
