French electric utility company Engie has agreed to buy a 30-year transmission line concession from the Indian power transmission company Sterlite Power for up to BRL410 million ($98.3 million).
With the greenfield concession, Engie takes on €750 million ($829 million) in estimated investments to erect 1,800km of power lines, build a new substation and expand three other substations in the northern states of Pará and Tocantins, the company said in a statement.
