Chilean water utility company Aguas Andinas is looking for a buyer for its 53.5% stake in its subsidiary Empresa de Servicios Sanitarios de Los Lagos (Essal), it said in a securities filing.
The company said it will start the process "immediately" by hiring an investment bank and financial advisers to coordinate the sale.
Aguas Andinas added that it has contacted any potential buyers or discussed how much its controlling stake in Essal could be worth.
