Brazil's MRV Engenharia could spend between $220m and $255m to buy a 20% stake in the US real estate company AHS Residential by 2022, according to a securities filing on Thursday.
The Belo Horizonte-based homebuilder has called a shareholders meeting on October 4 to vote on the proposal. The acquisition comes with 50.01% voting rights, MRV said.
MRV co-founder and CEO Ruben Menin formed AHS in 2012. He also owns 32.6% of MRV, while the local asset management firm Dynamo owns 5.18%. MRV floats
