As forest fires rage in Brazil and Bolivia, 230 institutional investors with $16.2tn in assets under management have called on companies to do more to protect the Amazon.
The investors come from more than 30 countries and range from private asset managers like Aberdeen, Amundi, Ashmore, BNP Paribas, HSBC, MUFG and SulAmérica to public pension funds like CalPERS and OPTrust, according to the nonprofit organization Ceres.
