Canada's Northland Power said it has agreed to acquire Empresa de Energía de Boyacá (EBSA) from Brookfield in a deal worth COP2.67tn ($793m), including debt.
"The acquisition... gives us an entry point into Colombia," Northland CEO Mike Crawley said in a statement.
EBSA is Northland's second investment in Latin America after the the 130 MW La Lucha solar power project in Mexico.
