Codelco sells stake in natural gas terminal

Chile's Codelco said it has sold its 37% stake in the Mejillones natural gas terminal to the local investment fund Ameris Capital for $194m. French electric utility company Engie will hold on to its 63% share in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in the Antofagasta region in northern Chile. The state-owned copper company said the return of natural gas imports from Argentina, the connection of the SIC and SING grids and the shift to renewable energy sources convinced it to sell its stake
