The bond market may have closed for Argentine issuers as the oil and gas company Compañía General de Combustibles (CGC) cancelled a planned bond buyback and called off a roadshow to pitch up to $400m in new notes to international investors.
"It was a macro issue," a bonds banker in Buenos Aires told LatinFinance. "They did not find good investor sentiment because the market is waiting for the October elections."
