Colombia's Opaín has sold $415m in seven-year notes through a private placement, receiving solid demand from insurance companies and investment funds, its controlling shareholder, Odinsa, said in a statement.
BNP Paribas, HSBC and SMBC were the placement agents on the 4(a)(2) private placement in the US market, taking in $693m in orders, said a source involved in the transaction.
Opaín will use the money to pay off a $500m club loan it signed in 2015, the source said.
