Brazil's EcoRodovias said it has signed a BRL400m ($101m) leniency agreement with public prosecutors, agreeing to reduce tolls by BRL220m, spend an additional BRL150m on roadworks and pay a BRL30m fine.
EcoRodovias will pay the fine, while the concessionaire Ecocataratas will invest BRL130m in its 387km stretch of federal highway BR-277 and Ecovia will put another BRL20m into its 137km stretch of BR-277 in the state of Paraná, EcoRodovias said in a statement.
