Brasília recruits BNDES for CEB sale

The government for the Brasília federal district has hired the national development BNDES to come up with a model for the sale of the state-owned electricity distribution company CEB Distribuição. BNDES expects to present the model in 150 days and issue the tender documents in 180 days, the bank said in a statement. The Brasília government said in May that it planned to sell 51% of CEB Distribuição to raise money to help pay off BRL1.1bn ($278m) in debt from the company. Brasília's power company
