Sustainable bonds issued by the Colombian export-import bank Bancóldex have surged this year amid strong appetite from investors interested in financing environmental projects and social causes, LatinFinance has heard.
"Bancóldex's 2022s have risen to yield 5.9% from around 6.9% to over 7% last year. People are buying them in the secondary market because they want to include sustainable bonds in their portfolio as part of a global trend," said a capital markets analyst in Medellín.
Yields improve to around 5.9% as investors snap up the export-import bank's notes in the secondary market, analyst says
