The threat of US tariffs has muted market expectations in Mexico with large loans, IPOs and M&A deals expected to face setbacks.
"We could see some transactions delayed," said a corporate finance lawyer in Mexico City. "It's a little premature to say what the exact impact will be, but this type of news does not help build a very good outlook."
