Frances's Engie and an unnamed Chinese firm are the last two suitors for Luz del Sur, a Peruvian power utility owned by the US company Sempra Energy.
"It looks like Engie or this firm are the top remaining bidders for the asset," an M&A banker in Lima said without naming the Chinese company.
