Mexico's Grupo Elektra said it has sold its banking business in El Salvador to Grupo Perinversiones for an undisclosed amount.
Elektra did not give a reason for the sale, but it said it "will focus its efforts on markets that currently promote its strong business model — with solid financial and commercial operations — which will advance the well-being and progress of the communities where it has a presence."
