Aliança Transportadora de Gás Participações, a division of the French power utility company Engie, has issued BRL14bn ($3.63bn) in debentures to fund part of the acquisition of the TAG natural gas pipeline in Brazil.
Engie and the Canadian pension fund Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) signed a contract last month to buy 90% of TAG from the state-owned energy company Petrobras for BRL31.6bn. Engie holds an indirect stake of 29.3% in TAG through its stake in Aliança. Petrobras holds
