Mexico's Banobras said it has sold MXN10bn ($521m) in local bonds, becoming the first issuer to place greens bonds on the BIVA stock exchange in Mexico City.
The development bank divided the issue into three tranches with MXN3bn in three-year notes, MXN4.4bn in 10-year notes and MXN2.6bn in 15-year notes. The 2022 notes priced at 5bp under the TIIE rate, while the 2029s sold at a fixed rate of 8.29% per year and the inflation-linked 2034s carried a rate of 3.96%, Banobras said in a statement.
