Brazilian healthcare company Hapvida said it has agreed to buy the smaller rival Grupo América for around BRL376m ($96.7m).
Hapvida gave Grupo América an enterprise value of BRL426m, or 5.3 times estimated EBITDA for 2020, but it subtracted BRL50m in debt and "potential contingencies," it said in a statement.
Hapvida enters the central-west state of Goiás through the acquisition, following a deal last month to buy São Francisco Saúde for BRL5bn.
