Jamaica is looking to issue $100m to $200m in catastrophe bonds to raise money for recovery efforts from future natural disasters linked to global warming, LatinFinance has heard.
"We are holding meetings with the World Bank to see our funding options to cover for earthquakes, hurricanes or tropical cyclones," said Trevor Anderson, fiscal policy director at the Ministry of Finance.
