EDP buys transmission line in Brazil

EDP Energias do Brasil said it has agreed to buy a transmission line company from China's CEE Power and the local metal structures company Brafer for a total estimated investment of BRL407m ($102m). The acquired company, Litoral Sul Transmissora de Energia, operates two substations and a 142km transmission line in the southern states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. The company has earned BRL45.8m in revenues, with 58% from its operations in Rio Grande do Sul and 42% from Santa Catarina
