Brazil's BTG Pactual said it has opened a digital retail unit led by Amos Genish, the former CEO of the Italian telecommunications company TIM.
The new unit will offer retail banking services and loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through BTG Pactual Digital along with corporate loans through Banco Pan and insurance products through Too Seguros, BIT Pagg and BIT Seguros, BTG Pactual said in a securities filing.
The bank also said it plans to sell roughly BRL2bn ($503m) in shares
